The most successful dashboard design involves interactive sessions with end users to define Use Cases and create the dashboard content, metric calculations, flow and user controls. Whiteboards, wireframes, prototypes and data definitions are the enablers to communicate and build consensus across the team. Building a dashboard is best done in cycles, with each cycle involving user review, feedback and managed changes. Well structured and adaptable regression testing ensures changes are incorporated smoothly as they arise. Knowing when to push change requests to “Phase 2” is key to on-time delivery. Performance, efficiency, best practices and technological knowledge are key factors in the build process. |

Deliver
Well structured functional logic and logical naming standards ensure effective in person Knowledge Transfer after the majority of building is complete. High quality User Guides and Developers Notes provide end users with useful reference material post implementation and developers with helpful, detailed code and structure information to assist with dashboard maintenance, no matter how much time has elapsed since Knowledge Transfer was conducted. |

In excess of twenty years UI and dashboard experience makes coaching and mentoring a natural product of my presence. I also deliver templates and standards covering layout, logos, section delineation, controls, color and legends as well as appropriate visual metaphors.
